Polymarket Integrates Local E-Wallets for Direct Fiat Deposits in PH

by Liam Greene

Decentralized prediction market Polymarket has integrated leading Philippine digital payment platforms GCash, Maya, and GoTyme Bank as direct fiat deposit options for its users.

Based on the platform’s updated deposit interface, users can now fund their Polymarket accounts directly by selecting the “Use Cash” option. The newly integrated local payment methods allow for instant deposits, with each option, GCash, Maya, and GoTyme Bank (via QR), currently reflecting an $800.00 deposit limit.

GCash is currently listed under the platform’s “Most popular” cash deposit methods, while Maya and GoTyme Bank are listed under “Other options.”

Polymarket, which operates on the Polygon blockchain, allows users to buy and sell shares on the outcomes of future real-world events, including political elections, sports matches, and economic indicators.

Before this integration, funding a Polymarket account from the Philippines typically required users to purchase cryptocurrency, such as USDC, on a separate centralized exchange and manually transfer the assets to their Polymarket wallet address.

Polymarket has not released an official statement detailing the backend payment processor facilitating the Philippine fiat-to-crypto conversions.
